BALLET STUDENT with 80 years. The Brazilian Hélio Haus continually had a passion for ballet however he did not have the possibility to practice it once he was younger.

Hélio Haus began to feel attracted to ballet , a type of dance that he continually wanted to do but he never had the chance nor the time to be able to practice it. He never imagined that his first approach to ballet would have it after he retired, according to information from the Brasil Globo portal.
"It is not too late for me (...) I feel alive, active, doing something that I have constantly valued doing," Hélio described to the publication.

On the days he has practice, Hélio arrives at 9 in the morning at a gym in Flujo de Agua de Janeiro and prepares himself to wear the common outfit: the tights and his ballet shoes, to take 5 daily classes.

The elderly shares class with other 7 students, something that Hélio says keeps him active and also enables him to socialize. Hélio gets excited every day for the help they give him.

"I read various comments since he does not have Facebook and some dance schools from all over Brazil sent greetings to him," said Camile Salles, one of the dance instructors they share with Hélio.
