A boy takes Superman to school after insisting he was his uncle. No one believed him, not even his teacher, and when he finally got the chance, he shocked everyone.

Children's imagination enables children to develop abstract reasoning, creativity and cognitive abilities. As they grow up, they are able to generate and imagine things, even if sometimes it gets out of hand, and they end up inventing stories that could be part of the plot of a good novel.

Sometimes these 'little lies' appear out of the blue. Others, they become so entangled in a story that they have the potential to mention a whole narrative of how something is or is not viable. This seems to have been the situation of Thomas,a UK infant who proved to be thoroughly frustrated. For the kids laughed at him at school after telling in an activity in which they had to recount details of their families that he possessed something amazing: he was the nephew of Superman.

The infant, then 7 years old, proudly told all his classmates, who of course did not believe him. To the point that his instructor had to intervene to explain to him that what he mentioned could not be. Because Superman was a fictional character and, therefore, could not be his uncle.

Faced with the little boy's insistence, his teachers went so far as to punish him and call his parents, informing them of what had happened and asking Thomas to stop telling lies. What they didn't count on, however, was that the little boy's mother confirmed his story when she went to pick him up after school was over: yes, the boy was Superman's nephew. This only caused the teachers to get angry, and they agreed to try to take the matter more seriously.

The infant reached home fully frustrated. His mother was more than uncomfortable with the teachers' attitude. So she made the decision to take matters into her own hands so that the infant would get to teach his truth.

To that end, Thomas's mother called her brother-in-law to accompany him to class the next day to prove that what they were saying was true. The surprise of the kids and teachers has been capital. Since it turns out that Thomas was right: his uncle happens to be actor Henry Cavill. Who plays the famous superhero on the big screen, and who gladly accompanied his nephew, dressed as Superman.

This is how Henry Cavill himself told the story in an interview on Live! With Kelly and Ryan, on US television, in 2018, showing himself more than proud of his nephew's tenacity. The story took place in 2013, the infant is now 15 years old, however it was now once that it went viral on social media.

Although it was years ago, the Boy Takes SUPERMAN to SCHOOL is still remembered as a very unique situation.
