A Professor bought a CRIB for his office
A gesture that has touched the hearts of the world.

A graduate student in the biology program had a baby girl during the pandemic. So a return to her studies was in jeopardy as she had nowhere to leave her. Karen Cunningham, a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), could not afford a nanny.

But then her husband had to work, so her reality as a first-time mother was not the best for her to advance with her studies. However, her instructor Troy Littletondecided to help her so that she would not give up her career.

Aware of what was going on and how critical it is for the teenage mom to consummate with her academic commitments, she had invented a revolutionary solution in the organization and her gesture has gone viral.

The professor in question organized his MIT office and created a space to place a crib, which he subsequently purchased so that his student would no longer miss class and could carry his 9-month-old daughter while he continued with his degree work.

"I made a much-needed purchase for the lab, a piece of equipment that was needed; so that my soon-to-be-graduating student can take her 9-month-old daughter with her. This way she can finish her homework and I can play with her little girl - a win-win!" the professor wrote via his Twitter account.

Why Professor bought a CRIB for his office at MIT?

The image of the cradle at the university generated well over 110,000 "likes" on the posting by the professor, who has now become known for the gesture he made to the student.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Littleton manifested that commonly many females are forced to give up science once they become mothers and because of this he thought he could do something so his student could advance her fourth-grade inquiry work without distancing herself from her young daughter.

The incredible gesture of the Professor bought a CRIB for his office leaves a lot to think about whether education is only severity and pressure. Sometimes, understanding and accompanying a student through their process dictates much more about their professional future.
